Common Myths · Back to the actual walnut

Unlearn the shortcuts.

Why size, weight, quick colour changes, variety names and price cannot alone establish wenwan walnut quality.

01 / FIELD NOTES

“Bigger or heavier must be better”

Size and weight are influenced by variety, moisture and condition. Neither can replace inspection of maturity, structure, density in the hand and treatment risk. Choose a comfortable size after the basic quality checks.

02 / FIELD NOTES

“A famous name settles the choice”

Walnuts sold under the same name can differ in source, growing conditions, treatment and shell quality. A label is a clue for comparison, not a quality guarantee.

03 / FIELD NOTES

“Faster red means better quality”

Colour is only one part of the handling process. Look for natural, even development and a stable, warm surface rather than forcing a fast result with oil, chemicals or aggressive polishing.

04 / FIELD NOTES

“Wild means no need to inspect”

Wild walnuts can still have cracks, damage, weak foundations or misleading source labels. Inspect the individual pair.

05 / FIELD NOTES

“Wenwan walnuts are an investment”

We do not promise resale profit, appreciation or a way to recover your purchase cost. Choose a pair for learning and appreciation within a budget you can comfortably afford.
